Tinted Number Plates

If you decide to buy tinted show number plates and use them on U.K roads, if caught, you are liable to face a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) normally costing £100. You will then be ordered to get your tinted number plates changed and then verified at an MOT testing centre.

Tinted, Smoked and Darkened Number plates are all the same. They are number plate acrylics that have been darkened in one way or another. You can tint number plates with film, or you can buy tinted acrylic (better). Vivid Number Plates used tinted acrylic.
